Just a reminder our next What’s Going On (WGO) gathering is on tomorrow night at Byron Services Club on Monday 30 September, 2024 at 6.00 for 6.30pm, featuring our special guest speaker Kate Mason.     

If you are concerned about what is happening to our traditional food and agriculture system, the demonisation of farming, and the government’s push towards centralised, synthetic ‘food’ production. You do not want to miss this event and her headline talk The Future of Food. 

Kate will follow this up with a second talk about Children's 'Wellbeing' and the government's plans, which looks at who knows best about your child’s “wellbeing “?? It seems like the government think they do. Kate explores the language, the ideas, and the repercussions for children and families.  

Lots of other important information will be shared, including updates from Michael Williamson on the Misinformation legislation. Please come along, get clear and factual information, and look at ways in which we can respond!

We are excited to announce our next What’s Going On (WGO) speaking event to be held at Byron Services Club on Monday 26 August, 2024 at 6.30pm, covering the topic ‘The Future of Australin Democracy’.   

Our discussion will focus on our government’s response to the results of the largest survey of its type, ever undertaken in this country, seeking our thoughts on the state of Australia’s democracy. 

With the results showing that trust in government has fallen to a new low, the government’s response to the survey’s findings suggests a renewed focus on ‘misinformation’ may be heading our way, with a possible crackdown on free speech. Could we be about to head down the same path as the UK?  

Join our informative discussion as we explore the path the government appears to be following, what this could mean for us, and most importantly, can they succeed? 

In the second half of the gathering we will be providing updates on the World People’s Assembly, along with other recent developments, and the upcoming council elections.

Our event this time, will focus on "Freedom of Speech" a topic that should be dear to us all. Governments around the world, including here in Australia, appear to have very different ideas about what this now means, and there has never been a more important time to get on top of what’s going on!

We are planning on a similar format to what we had last time, but with more time allocated for questions and discussions. So, it's your chance to be part of the conversation!

Before we go, we wanted to also give you a quick update on what's happening with Australia's Digital ID that we discussed last time. The government has now released its draft legislation and is inviting feedback from the community. You can share your thoughts by going to this link https://www.digitalidentity.gov.au/have-your-say .

You can complete a survey and/or make a submission, and the deadline is 10th October 2023. Over the next week or so we hope to be able to share some more information that may help you with your response.

Whats Going On (WGO), is conducting a series of public events with well informed speakers on the issues that are affecting us now and will determine how we live in the future.

Our first event features Debra Yuille speaking about the World Health Organisation, it's role in the pandemic, it's future plans for world health and how this may affect us all.

Our second talk features Michael Williamson speaking about digital identity and the government's plans for Digital ID legislation and how that may affect our personal freedom.
